No Go for Microbusinesses: Cannabis Delivery Bill Vetoed in California

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has vetoed a unanimously passed bill to let some cannabis microbusinesses ship products directly to patients. The governor said he appreciated the proposal's "goal of expanding patient access" but that it would be too costly to revamp the state's seed-to-sale tracking system.

Democrats in the Michigan Senate proposed

to alleviate challenges for the state's cannabis businesses. The proposals include restricting new cannabis licenses in over-saturated communities and establishing regulations for intoxicating hemp products.

The average price of cannabis flower in Connecticut has hit an all-time low of $8.68 per gram, continuing a trend of general price decline since July 2024.
