Felicia A.B. Reid, Acting Executive Director of the New York Office of Cannabis Management (OCM), resigned effective immediately on Monday at the request of Governor Kathy Hochul. Ms. Reid’s departure follows the abrupt withdrawal of enforcement proceedings against a Long Island cannabis licensee shortly before a scheduled trial. The licensee had faced allegations of unauthorized license subleasing to unaffiliated entities and the distribution of unregulated cannabis products.
